The 'Uncle Schubert's House' name came from a short chord progression which comes in after a minute or so and is heavily effected with a warped delay effect . I'm not sure if it's exactly a Schubert phrase or not. See if you can spot it.

Found this while wandering the back streets of Collingwood in Melbourne. For those of you who've not been to Melbourne, it is home to a vibrant street art culture. My cropping/framing of the piece doesn't do it justice but it's still quite nice. I think the artist is Japanese. Could be wrong on that one...

I took this photo whilst walking along the Yarra River in Melbourne near Kew, with a friend. I showed to to a couple of mates who suggested it would be useful for The Age newspaper.
Haven't written anything for a while so thought I'd quickly mention this book. I've just started reading it and am rather taken by it, in particular the atmosphere he conveys is very sparse, and pregnant. There'something compelling in the eeriness of the silence. Things move slowly but there's always something interesting awaiting it's time to materialize.
