This first track is a preview of a rather funky little tech/house number. First I created the drum/organ loops and then jammed a loose composition into Ableton Live. Played it to my girlfriend last night and she quite liked it. Ladies respond to funky, body music, I've noticed.
I'm going to add some touches of African percussion, my own voice and some quirky little synthesizer effects to punctuate it but the essence is there.
This second track is much more introspective, more of a hybrid. A slight african, melancholic feel to it. Yet to add the main melody but again a feeling is clearly evident.

Here are two new musical sketches. 'Mischief' reminds me a little of some of Pole's recent work but with a bit more of a funk/electro vibe. Nice and dirty. In spite of the fact that it's only a short snippet I really like the texture and rhythm of it.The whole thing was done using my new software Reaktor
The second track to your right ladies and gents, is an interpretation of detroit electro filtered through the more modern development of dubstep. It took me 30min to do this and I'm imagining (strangely for me!) adding slow soulful female vocal snippets interspersed with textural elements working with the main chord which is playing. Ableton Live did something funny in rendering the song out. I actually had a composition (ie change!) but for some reason it came out as a single 33 bar loop. Weird. Feedback appreciated.

Here are some shots of the most recent live gig I performed at Glitch Bar in October. Big thanks to Jed (pictured in top photo) for organising the whole night. Was a great night, Zen Paradox performed a very well polished gig. I have a recording of my performance but am yet to render it to disk.
Here's a new track I've started working on on the weekend. I really like this track. I've got some vague ideas for a video clip which involves busy streets/machinery and traffic lights forming patterns of human faces.
